Welcome to the Club La Joly website
You will find Club La Joly in the cosy village La Chapelle d'Abondance in the French Alps at the foot of Europe's largest summer – and winter holiday area, Portes du Soleil. Club La Joly welcomes you in some freestanding chalets on the bank of the Dranse river with a view of the Mont de Grange (2450 m).

At the Club's centre is the chalet with its cosy, english style bridge/dining-room, , billiards- and darts-room with fireplace . Here, everybody will feel at home soon. Exclusively for its guests, Club La Joly has a Skiing&Golf Shop with the latest equipment, for a complete holiday.

Skiing Club La Joly is situated right at the child-friendly skiing area La Domain du Crêt Beni. This area is part of Europe's largest skiing area, Portes du Soleil, with no less than 650 km prepared pistes.  Golf Clinic In cooperation with Europe's most renowned PGA golf pro Bill Owens, we organize golf clinics for beginners and advanced golf players. This intensive and professional clinic is a guarantee for instant success. Following the clinic you are up to par for the exam for the Dutch GVB Golf Ability Certificate.

Golf Holiday Club La Joly is surrounded by 10 wonderful golf-courses, including Evian Masters, Villars, Le Gets, Montreux, etc. An excellent opportunity to give your holiday that sportly touch. Bridge Holiday Bridge players are more than welcome to spend a week or more with us. We organize weekly tournaments, bridge drives and bridge courses for beginners. We have special group arrangements.

Hiking
An eldorado for the (mountain) hiker. Around La Joly are 120 km marked hiking tracks; part of the famous GR5 (the renowned route from Pieterburen (NL) to Nice) runs right along the rear of our chalets.

Mountainbiking
We cater for these sportsmen/women as well. In the immediate vicinity are ca. 250 km marked tracks of every degree, including several-day tours.

Other activities
Experience the sensation of rafting in the Dranse, the main river in the valley. Trout angling is another popular activity, here. A day trip to Chamonix at the foot of the Mont Blanc, a boat trip on the Lake of Geneva, or a visit to the towns of Lausanne, Evian-les-Bains, Yvoire and Montreux are certainly worth while.

Every evening a succulent dinner with the best dishes France has to offer, is prepared exclusively for Club la Joly guests Recreation We provide plenty of that too. We offer billiards, darts, table-tennis, playing cards; and you can always enjoy a drink at the fireplace.
